StreamUP Theme for OBS Studio

A clean, modern theme for OBS Studio. Free to download. No subscriptions, no account, just files you drop into your themes folder.

I built it because the default OBS look has never quite felt right, and I wanted something that's actually pleasant to stare at for hours at a time. Ships with multiple colour variants so you can pick the look that suits you.

What's New in v0.0.3

Big update. Full audit pass across the whole theme, two new variants, and a stack of fixes for stuff that was quietly broken.

Two New Variants

• TheAndi. Warm gold accent on darker backgrounds. Inspired by my own site colour scheme.
• StreamUP Default. The original blue colour scheme, now split into its own proper variant so you can swap between looks cleanly.

Selection System Overhaul

Text selection, list highlights, menu highlights, and dialog selection are now consistent and readable across every variant. Each variant gets its own selection tokens, so highlights match the theme colour instead of defaulting to blue. Small thing. Massive quality-of-life difference when you're clicking through sources, filters, and menus all day.

T-Bar Midpoint Indicator

Proper midpoint line SVG (light and dark variants) so you can actually see the centre of the Studio Mode t-bar.

Widget Fixes

• Undefined variables breaking the newer idian widgets. Fixed.
• Toggle switches updated to OBS 32.1 property names so they actually toggle.
• Combo box dropdowns were rendering with a transparent background in some places. Now solid.
• Tree view expand arrows were drawing weird rectangles next to them. Cleaned up.
• Toolbar buttons going square on hover instead of keeping the rounded corners. Fixed.
• StreamUP toolbar: proper background, rounded on all four corners, tighter padding, consistent button styling.

Coverage Added

A load of dialogs and widgets that were previously falling back to OBS defaults. Now properly styled:

• Tooltips, progress bars, table headers, date and time pickers, calendar widget
• Disabled states across the board, including disabled icon variants for filter and settings
• Scene tree grid lines
• Group boxes and table views
• Edit Transform dialog
• Plugin docks: ChapterMarker, Annotation, HotkeyDisplay
• Font picker, source select, remux, importer, auto-config wizard, scene switcher, output timer, scripts dialog, websocket dialog
• Status column (compact, cleaner dots)
• Vertical mixer (full styling pass)

Under the Hood

• Removed 52 unused variables and a chunk of dead CSS
• Replaced all leftover Dark icon references with StreamUP equivalents
• Variablised the hardcoded mixer colours so variants can actually restyle them
• General dedupe and cleanup

Install

1. Download the zip.
2. Extract the contents into your OBS themes folder.
   • Windows: %APPDATA%\obs-studio\themes
   • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/obs-studio/themes
   • Linux: ~/.config/obs-studio/themes
3. Restart OBS.
4. Go to Settings, Appearance, Theme, and pick StreamUP or one of the variants.

One tip. If you're coming from 0.0.2 and something looks off after updating, restart OBS fully. The theme cache can hang onto the old one.
