Hi, I'm Andi.
Stay-at-home dad, self-taught musician and developer, and the person behind StreamUP. This is the part about me. Not the products.
How I got here
Right, so. I spent eleven years at Apple. Then I made the jump: full-time stay-at-home dad and content creator. Easily the best decision I've made.
I started out teaching streamers how to get the most from their setups. OBS, Streamer.Bot, all of it. Tutorials, live Q&As, whatever actually helped. In 2022 that grew into StreamUP, a company building tools, widgets and effects for streamers. It's past 10,000 customers now, which still feels mad to say out loud.
Same year, I taught myself to code. C# first, then C and C++. Most of StreamUP runs on C#, and I've written a few OBS plugins along the way for the bits that didn't exist yet.
I've always made music. Self-taught, a few instruments. Lately I'm leaning into that properly, moving toward live music on stream and gigs, where the playing and the people watching are part of the same thing.
The goals from here are simple. Twitch Partner, and that 100k YouTube plaque.
The things I actually do
- Music
- Self-taught, a few instruments. Moving into live music on stream and the occasional gig, where the playing and the room are part of the same thing.
- Streaming & teaching
- Showing streamers how to get more out of OBS and Streamer.Bot. Tutorials, live Q&As, and the odd 2am debugging session that I enjoy more than I should.
- Building
- Taught myself to code in 2022. StreamUP's tools, plus a handful of OBS plugins. If I need something that doesn't exist yet, I build it.
- Being a dad
- The reason I left Apple. Everything else fits around it, and that's the whole point.
What I'm up to
- Latest
- Building tools and making music.
- Next gig
- Dates going up on the music page.
